Lowell Math Scholar Program
Creating incentive programs for students to participate and excel in advanced math courses from 7th through 12th grade. The foundation wants to promote academic achievement and encourage local students to pursue STEM fields after high school.
History
Thirty years ago, J. David Lowell noticed a lack of local students pursuing degrees and careers in science and math, particularly geologic engineering. The J. David Lowell Foundation is addressing that challenge by sponsoring junior high and high school students in advanced mathematics. Our goal is to help gifted students graduate high school having completed AP calculus, and enter college prepared to pursue a degree and career in STEM.
Flowing Wells Unified School District
Empowering students since 2024. What started as a pilot program with Flowing Wells Unified School District has grown to become the foundation’s flagship initiative.
Outcome

- Over $10,000 awarded to students
